Trauma Therapy in Colorado

At All Minds Counseling, we provide trauma therapy that is compassionate, collaborative, and deeply affirming of both identity and neurodiversity. Trauma can impact how you think, feel, and move through the world—showing up as anxiety, emotional overwhelm, shutdown, hypervigilance, relationship challenges, or feeling disconnected from yourself and others. Whether your experiences stem from a single event or ongoing stress, our therapists are here to support you in a way that feels safe, respectful, and empowering.

We understand that trauma and neurodiversity often intersect in meaningful ways. Neurodivergent individuals—including those with ADHD, autism, sensory sensitivities, and other differences—may experience the world in ways that increase vulnerability to overwhelm, misunderstanding, masking, and chronic stress. These experiences can be traumatic, especially in environments that are not accommodating or affirming. At the same time, trauma responses can sometimes be misunderstood as “behavioral issues” or misinterpreted through a non-affirming lens. Our Colorado therapists take care to honor the full context of your experience, separating what is trauma, what is neurodivergence, and where they overlap—without pathologizing who you are.

Our trauma-informed approach focuses on creating safety, building trust, and supporting nervous system regulation at your pace. We use a range of evidence-based and holistic practices, which may include somatic (body-based) techniques, mindfulness, parts work, and skill-building to help you process experiences without becoming overwhelmed. For neurodivergent clients, we adapt these approaches to align with your sensory needs, communication style, and ways of processing the world. For children and teens, we incorporate play and caregiver support; for adults, couples, and families, we focus on connection, boundaries, and healing relational patterns.
